Peoria is home to the AHL Peoria Rivermen and Class A Minor League Baseball team Peoria Chiefs. The Peoria Chiefs play at the new O'Brien Field stadium near downtown Peoria. The community also enjoys collegiate basketball with the Bradley University Braves.
